How to grow alfalfa sprouts
The classic sandwich sprout.
To grow, soak the seeds for 8 hours in cold water. After soaking, rinse and drain. Continue rinsing and draining 2-3 times per day for around 3 days. Once the seeds start to sprout, move to indirect sunlight (avoid direct sun) and continue to rinse and drain 2-3 times per day. Harvest around day 6, when most of the leaves are green. Dry the sprouts and store them in a sealed container in the fridge. Munch soon after sprouting.
Soak: 8 hours
Rinse: 2-3 times a day
Grows in: 5-6 days
Don't forget to sprout safely and in a sanitary way. Check out our article about sprouting safely for more information.
